My career started nearly four years ago when my brother bought me my first professional video camera for Christmas. There were so many dials and buttons I didn't know where to start! One project led to the next and what was once a hobby slowly evolved into a professional career.
In 2008 I volunteered for Obama's grassroots election campaign and toted my cameras from one event to the next. While biding my time freelancing for non-profit organizations, working photography for local events, and producing documentary films, I managed to get a degree in International Relations at American University.
Since graduating I've designed websites for two international NGO's and am currently the New Media Coordinator at Genetic Alliance, an international heath-care coalition based in Washington D.C, where I specialize in social media, video production, and web development. You may have seen me zipping around on my motorcycle or loaded with camera gear at Metro Center navigating my way to the next train.
My films have been screened at the San Francisco Ocean Film Festival, the Puerto Rico International Film Festival, and the Culture Unplugged Online Film Festival. My most recent film, "La Pesca Vivencial," co-directed with Chris McMorrow, is a story of tourism vs. tradition for fisherman of the Galapagos Islands.
In my spare time I enjoy rock climbing, riding my motorcycle, and collecting camera gear. I'm always on the lookout for new and exciting projects, so shoot me an email if you have something in mind.
